Our Mission

A group of tennis players began playing on a regular basis in the spring of 2018 that led to a mixed group of skills and ages that provided fun and exercise twice a week. What a wonderful summer it was with these new friends!

He later graduated from North Caroline High School, playing varsity tennis all four years.  Today, Blair and his wife, Cheryl, enjoy playing in the adult tennis nights in Ridgely, and have enjoyed watching as three of their four children prepared for, and then competed on, high school tennis teams.  Blair sees the Caroline Tennis Association as a tool to expand tennis participation locally, and to allow others to experience what he and his family have gained from participation in youth and adult tennis programs.

Greg recently moved to Thurmont, MD, a sad event for our Wednesday and Sunday adult tennis. However, in his true spirit of enjoying teaching kids, he is willing to drive 2 hours to continue to participate in the CTA Saturday Fall Camp. Yeah!!

Joe Anderson

Joe grew up in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and now makes Ridgely his home. As a professional drag racer for 25 years and on the road ten months a year, tennis and golf were seldom played. When Joe retired in 1999, he became passionate about working with kids, first with baseball in Sharp Leadenhall. Now, he supports the AMP program at CCTC

Now, he supports the AMP program at CCTC and has begun playing tennis again. His playing buddies all strategized that a more formal tennis program may entice kids and families to Martin Sutton Park for some tennis!
